Paula McGlynn is a founding partner and producer for Bharatiya Digital Party (BhaDiPa), the first Marathi-language YouTube channel focused on entertainment, with the celebrity roast series “Casting Couch with Amey & Nipun” and the music series “Lokmat Santawaani” among their hits. BhaDiPa recently received the Zee Talkies Marathi Comedy award for “Best Web Content” and currently has over 7 million channel views and over 70K subscribers.

BhaDiPa is founded by the same partners who run the production company, Gulbadan Talkies Pvt. Ltd., who produce content for brands such as ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever brands, and recently made Fisher Price’s new TVC featuring Shruti Seth. Paula is also a Script Writer for Phantom’s Indo-French film, “Interpreter” to be Directed by Vikas Bahl, starring French comedian Kev Adams and working on several other screenplays yet to be announced.

She received her BFA from Simon Fraser University, (Vancouver, Canada). Her thesis film, My Uncle Terry was shown at the Montreal World Film Festival and Moonrise Film Festival. She has written and directed 4 short documentaries and web-series, and was Sound Designer on several award-winning short films. She has won awards such as the Praxis Screenplay Award in 2011, and was selected for the DOXA Connexions program.

Twice the recipient of the SFU Mobility fund for her research on the film industry, Paula McGlynn has a strong network within the Indo-Canadian film industry and has started the BC – Indian Film & Media Initiative, a volunteer effort to increase business between the two industries. She is an active member with the Indo-Canadian Business Chambers (ICBC) Media & Entertainment Committee, and consults with BC and Indian companies interested in crossing over the markets in film and media.
